The English versions are translations of the Polish documents; the binding document is the Polish version. The English translations reflect the content of the Polish documents; however, all forms for the Doctoral School at Jan Kochanowski University must be completed in Polish.

Which documents should I submit?

Should I post my paper documents to you when I apply?

There is no need to send in hard copies of your application materials when you apply. Any paper documents should be scanned and emailed to the Doctoral School office. If you have done so, there is no need to send hard copies at the application stage.

The candidate may send scanned copies of the documents referred to in § 3 para. 1 by email to the Doctoral School. The original documents must be delivered to the Doctoral Students Section no later than the day of the qualifying interview.

If your application is successful, you will be required to provide the original paper versions of documents you have scanned in. The Doctoral School office will be in touch to request these from you later in the process.

What about official documents not in Polish/ English?

If your official documents are in any language other than Polish/ English, you must submit the original official documents, and a translation of the documents into Polish/ English which is either:

  1. issued and stamped by the institution that issued your document, or
  2. translated by a professional translator and visibly certified – ie signed and stamped – by the professional translator or an authorised notary.

Any non-Polish/ non-English documents you attach to your application without a translation will be rejected.
