Education at the Highest Level

The Doctoral School provides highly specialised education for young researchers, preparing them to conduct independent scientific research, develop their research skills, and disseminate the results of their research.

The curriculum combines general courses for all doctoral candidates with disciplinary courses dedicated to individual sections, as well as specialised elective courses within specific disciplines and courses outside the doctoral candidate’s discipline.

Classes are conducted in Polish and English. The programme also includes teaching practice and a research internship, providing doctoral candidates with experience essential for their future academic and research careers.

Doctoral education at the Doctoral School lasts four years and is conducted on a full-time basis.

Open to Science and International Cooperation

The Doctoral School brings together an international and interdisciplinary community of young researchers. Its doctoral candidates include graduates of Jan Kochanowski University as well as other Polish and foreign universities.

The Doctoral School environment supports the development of scientific cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the implementation of ambitious research projects.

Scholarships for Doctoral Candidates

Doctoral candidates at the Doctoral School receive a doctoral scholarship in accordance with applicable regulations.
