In the academic year 2022/2023, during the VI edition of the Implementation Doctorate program, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education granted funds for financing doctoral scholarships, social insurance costs, and co-financing the costs of utilizing research infrastructure.

In the VI edition, the amount of co-financing is 661 704,88 PLN.

At Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, within the Doctoral School, 2 implementation doctorates are being carried out (contract no. DWD/6/0276/2022 and contract no. DWD/6/0278/2022) in the field of physics. Collaborating entities in the Implementation Doctorate Program include GUM (Central Office of Measures) and the Świętokrzyskie Oncology Center, an Independent Public Healthcare Institution.

In the framework of the 6th edition, research is being conducted in the field of exact and natural sciences, specifically in the discipline of physics. Project topics:

  1. Weryfikacja dawek promieniowania jonizującego w komputerowych systemach planowania leczenia z wykorzystaniem wzorca dawki pochłoniętej w wodzie dla Ir-192
  2. Opracowanie wzorców Hp(10), Hp (0,07) oraz Hp(3) zgodnych z ICRU95 do ochrony radiologicznej pracowników placówek medycznych.

Ministry of Science and Higher Education – Implementation Doctorate Project

General Information

  1. The purpose of the program is to create conditions for the development of cooperation between higher education and research institutions and the socio-economic environment, carried out within doctoral schools. This cooperation involves training doctoral students in collaboration with employing entities or other organizations.
  2. The program consists of modules:
  • “Implementation Doctorate I” – supporting the preparation of doctoral dissertations by doctoral students conducting scientific activities in areas other than specified in point b, the results of which can be applied in the activities of employing entities.
  • “Implementation Doctorate II – Artificial Intelligence” – supporting the preparation of doctoral dissertations by doctoral students conducting scientific activities in the field of utilizing artificial intelligence in technological or social processes, including those related to cybersecurity, the results of which can be applied in the activities of employing entities. The condition for participation in the program is the admission of an individual to the doctoral school, who is or will be employed full-time by an entity that agrees to their education within the doctoral school under the program and provides them with a mentor. The preparation of a doctoral dissertation under the program cannot exceed 4 years. The financial resources granted under the program are allocated for:
  • Financing a doctoral scholarship, as mentioned in Article 209(1), and increasing the amount of the doctoral scholarship, as mentioned in Article 209(7) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, in the amount of (monthly): 3450.00 PLN – until the month in which the mid-term evaluation referred to in Article 202(2) of the Act has been conducted; 4450.00 PLN – after the month in which the mid-term evaluation referred to in Article 202(2) of the Act has been conducted. In the case of a doctoral student with a disability certificate, a degree of disability certificate, or a certificate referred to in Article 5 and Article 62 of the Act of 27 August 1997 on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Journal of Laws of 2019, items 1172, 1495, 1696, 1818, and 2473), the monthly amount of the doctoral scholarship is increased by 30% of the amount of 3450.00 PLN.
  • Costs of social insurance, as mentioned in Article 6(1)(7b) of the Act of 13 October 1998 on the Social Insurance System (Journal of Laws of 2019, items 300, 303, and 730), which are the responsibility of the applicant;
  • Co-financing of the costs incurred by the applicant for the use of research infrastructure for the purpose of the doctoral student’s scientific activities in the preparation of the doctoral dissertation. The annual amount of co-financing of the costs incurred by the applicant for the use of research infrastructure by one doctoral student is the product of the number 12, the amount of 3450.00 PLN increased by the costs of social insurance, the cost-effectiveness coefficient of conducting scientific activities in the scientific discipline or artistic discipline, specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 22 January 2019 on cost-effectiveness coefficients (Journal of Laws, item 202), and a coefficient of 15%.

  • We would like to inform you that the call for funding applications under the “Implementation Doctorate 2024” program will be launched on May 13. Applications can be submitted until June 14 this year through the OSF system.
