Completion Deadlines

Obligations of Doctoral Students Related to the Completion of the Academic Year

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 1/2026 of the Director of the Doctoral School of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce of 20 January 2026, doctoral students of the Doctoral School of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, in order to complete a given year of education, are required to obtain credits for all courses included in the assessment card for the respective year of study in the University’s IT system (Virtual University) by 30 September of the given academic year, as well as to fulfill the obligations specified below, including submitting the following documents to the Doctoral School:

First-year doctoral students:

a) teaching practice record card – by 30 September of the given academic year,
b) report on scientific or artistic activity – within the first two weeks of October of the new academic year,
c) individual research plan – within 12 months from the commencement of education;

Second-year doctoral students:

a) teaching practice record card – by 30 September of the given academic year,
b) mid-term report on the implementation of the individual research plan (in accordance with § 7 section 10 of the Regulations) – within the first 7 days of September,
c) participation in the mid-term evaluation – on the second and third working days preceding the last working day of September, on which the results are announced;

Third-year doctoral students:

a) teaching practice record card – by 30 September of the given academic year,
b) report on scientific or artistic activity – within the first two weeks of October;

Fourth-year doctoral students:

a) doctoral dissertation together with the required documents – within the deadline specified in the individual research plan,
b) report on scientific or artistic activity, in the case of persons applying for an extension of the deadline for submitting the doctoral dissertation – within the first two weeks of October.

Doctoral students of the Doctoral School of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce are also required to submit documentation confirming the completion of a scientific or artistic internship, as specified in separate regulations, immediately after the completion of the internship.
