Doctoral Student ID Card
Doctoral Student ID Card Available in the mObywatel App
We would like to inform you that, as of 30 June 2026, doctoral students may use the digital Doctoral Student ID Card (mLegitymacja doktoranta) available in the mObywatel application. The digital ID card is equivalent to the traditional doctoral student ID card and allows users to confirm their doctoral student status using a mobile device.
How to add the digital ID card
To activate the document, please:
- update the mObywatel application to the latest version,
- select the “Add document” option,
- search for “Doctoral Student ID Card” (Legitymacja doktoranta),
- confirm adding the document.
Once these steps have been completed, the document will be automatically added to the application. There is no need to generate or scan QR codes or wait for additional activation by the university. The validity of the document is verified automatically based on data stored in the POL-on system.
The digital Doctoral Student ID Card is another step towards the digitalisation of higher education and improving access to modern public services for the doctoral student community. The document is always available on a mobile device, can also be used offline, and provides a convenient way to confirm rights and entitlements resulting from doctoral student status.
