6th edition of the Doctoral Students Forum of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce

On June 2-3, 2023, the 6th edition of the Doctoral Students Forum of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce took place under the patronage of the Rector of UJK, Prof. Dr. hab. Stanisław Głuszek. The Doctoral Students Forum at UJK provides a platform for doctoral students to present the results of their ongoing work and exchange experiences related to their research projects.

On behalf of the Rector of UJK, Prof. Dr. hab. Agnieszka Gałuszka, the Vice-Rector for Research, welcomed the doctoral students, and the guests, while Prof. Dr. hab. Francesco Giacosa, the Director of the Doctoral School, wished the participants fruitful discussions. Additionally, Prof. Dr. hab. Dariusz Banaś, the Dean of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, who served as the host of this year’s event, also addressed the audience.

The inaugural lecture entitled “Chat GPT: New Era of AI” was delivered by Prof. Dr. hab. Wojciech Broniowski, from the Institute of  Physics  at Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce and the Institute of Nuclear Physics PAN in Krakow.

Following the lecture, the doctoral students commenced their discussions within the sections dedicated to humanities, exact and natural sciences, medical and health sciences, as well as social sciences.

Ms. Kamila Fortunka, the Chairperson of the University Council of Doctoral Students, Ms. Wiktoria Krakowiak, the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the 6th Doctoral Students Forum, and Mr. Grzegorz Witkowski, a member of the University Council of Doctoral Students, who served as the main organizers of the Forum, made every effort to provide the doctoral students with the best conditions for presenting their work and exchanging ideas.

A total of 70 doctoral students presented their papers, and their presentations were evaluated by over 30 professors who participated in 11 committees. In total, 12 laureates of the Rector’s PRODOMUS Award were selected, and 5 presentations received honorable mentions.
