University Celebration

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, a ceremony of conferring doctoral and habilitation degrees, state decorations, as well as ministerial scholarships and rector’s awards took place in the Grand Hall of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce.

In the academic year 2022/2023, a total of 69 individuals received their doctoral degrees, 5 individuals were awarded professor titles, and 6 individuals attained the degree of habilitated doctor. The University’s celebration was also an opportunity to present ministerial scholarships and rector’s awards to students.

During the ceremonial session of the University Senate, state decorations were also bestowed upon the University employees. Professor Francesco Giacosa from the Institute of Physics, the director of the Doctoral School, was honored with the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

Furthermore, Ms. Agnieszka Bociek, a third-year doctoral student in the field of medical sciences, was honored with an entry in the Golden Book of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce for her scientific achievements.
