Composition of committees/teams
The Committee for the Quality of Education in the Doctoral School forms part of the University Quality Assurance System in accordance with Resolution No. 96/2025 of the Senate of UJK:
§ 7
- The Committee for the Quality of Education in the Doctoral School (CQEDS) is appointed by the Rector. Its detailed tasks are defined in a separate regulation issued by the Rector.
- The CQEDS consists of:
- 1) the Director of the Doctoral School;
- 2) the Deputy Director of the Doctoral School, serving as Chair of the Committee;
- 3) academic teachers, representing each of the scientific/artistic disciplines in which the Doctoral School operates, appointed and dismissed by the Rector;
- 4) representatives of doctoral students, one from each section of the Doctoral School, nominated by the appropriate body of the Doctoral Students’ Council;
- 5) other persons (maximum three) appointed and dismissed by the Rector, recommended by the Vice-Rector for Research in agreement with the Director of the Doctoral School.
- The Vice-Rector for Education and other persons invited by the Chair of the Committee may also participate in the work of the CQEDS in an advisory capacity. The provisions of § 4, items 5–10 and 12, apply accordingly.
- Within the CQEDS, the following subcommittees operate:
- 1) The Team for Monitoring Programmes and Learning Outcomes in the Doctoral School;
- 2) The Team for Evaluation of the University Quality Assurance System (UQAS) in the Doctoral School;
- 3) The Team for Academic Staff and the Education Process in the Doctoral School.
- The members of the above-mentioned Teams are also members of the CQEDS. Chairs of the Teams are appointed from among the members of the Committee by the Chair of the CQEDS.
- The detailed tasks of these Teams are defined in a separate regulation issued by the Rector. In order to carry out specific tasks, the Chair of the CQEDS may also appoint task forces, whose coordinators are elected from among their members by a simple majority in an open vote.

- Team for Monitoring Programmes and Learning Outcomes in the Doctoral School:
Tasks of the Committee
1. The Quality Assurance Committee at the Doctoral School (KJKwSD) shall perform the following tasks in accordance with Rector’s Order No. 44/2025 :
- Present recommendations regarding the Doctoral School’s curriculum, including the creation and modification of study programs;
- Provide opinions on matters submitted by the Rector or the Vice-Rector for Research;
- Carry out tasks related to ensuring the quality of education at the Doctoral School, in particular:
- Develop a strategy for ensuring the quality of education at the Doctoral School, in compliance with applicable legal regulations;
- Define procedures and policies for managing the quality of education;
- Present recommendations to the Vice-Rector for Research regarding actions aimed at improving the educational process;
- Prepare an annual report on the functioning of the Internal Quality Assurance System at the Doctoral School, which shall be submitted to the Senate;
- Improve the Internal Quality Assurance System at the Doctoral School;
- Perform other tasks specified by the Rector, the Statute, or the Scientific Council of the Doctoral School;
- Publish information and legal acts concerning the quality of education at the Doctoral School on the University’s website.
2. The tasks of the Team for Monitoring Programs and Learning Outcomes at the Doctoral School include:
- Reviewing study programs and intended learning outcomes at the Doctoral School and providing positions on the evaluation of the curriculum;
- Monitoring course syllabi implemented at the Doctoral School;
- Preparing reports and recommendations related to the course syllabi at the Doctoral School.
3. The tasks of the Team for Evaluation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (WSZJK) at the Doctoral School include:
- Preparing and conducting surveys at the Doctoral School and analyzing their results;
- Preparing reports and recommendations related to doctoral students’ surveys;
- Assessing the correctness and effectiveness of the functioning of the Internal Quality Assurance System at the Doctoral School.
4. The tasks of the Team for Academic Staff and the Teaching Process at the Doctoral School include:
- Presenting recommendations to the University authorities regarding the organization of the teaching process and staffing needs at the Doctoral School;
- Preparing reports and recommendations related to the results of class observations;
- Providing opinions on other matters assigned by the Rector concerning the academic staff and the teaching process at the Doctoral School.
5. Within the WSZJK at the Doctoral School, task sub-teams may also be created, whose responsibilities are defined by the Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee at the Doctoral School.
6. Teams operating within the Internal Quality Assurance System at the Doctoral School shall prepare end-of-year reports, which shall be submitted to the Quality Assurance Committee at the Doctoral School in accordance with the template attached to this order.
